I've just released a new video showing off my latest project for Blender - EasyBPY!
EasyBPY is a new module for Blender that makes it easier to interact with the Blender Python API. It does this by providing you with a collection of plain English commands like 'get_object', 'remove_material', 'duplicate_collection' and many more.
In this video we're going to be taking a look at some of the recent news in the Blender and general 3D community.
Unity has joined the Blender development fund, providing more support towards the project and enabling more full-time developers to bring us new features.
A screen-space global illumination addon has been made freely available for the EEVEE rendering engine, bringing the quality closer to cycles for a fraction of the rendering time.
As well as this, the Blender Conference will be taking place this year, except it will be taking place online instead of in person. They're giving people the opportunity to create a 2-minute video showing what they've done with Blender throughout the year, and a 'comfort box' of goodies has been announced so people can still get their hands on some merchandise.
In this video, we take a look at some recent happenings in the Blender and general 3D community. Ubisoft have released a multi-user addon for Blender, created within their animation studio. It's open source and free to use. There is also a brand-new overview video for the HardOps addon (over 8 hours in length) showing you how everything works. PureRef and FaceBuilder by KeenTools have recently received updates, and there's a new remesher tool on the scene.
In this update video, I show you some awesome, new, free beginner courses for Blender 2.8 that are available to watch on YouTube. Each of these content creators has a unique teaching style and bring different points of view to the table. I highly recommend that any newcomers to Blender should add these to their watch list.
